According to an attorney representing Blink at a meeting of the Community Board 2 Land Use Committee on Wednesday, the company plans to use both floors of the Roosevelt Avenue building, which it touts for its low prices and up-to-date equipment.

Treadmills, bicycles, office space, locker rooms, and a reception area would all be located on the ground floor. Free weights, a stretching area, and gym equipment would occupy the majority of the second floor.

Between 5,000 and 7,000 people are expected to join the Woodside facility, with about 600 to 700 members using it daily, according to the lawyer. Between 70 and 100 members are expected to attend on a regular basis, according to the club’s estimates.

The application process for a PCE permit is expected to take approximately eight months. Soon after, work on the site would get underway. According to a gym representative, they expect the gym to open in 2017.

At any given time, the gym expects to employ 30 people, with an average of 15 people working there at any given time.

During the week, the store would be open from 5:30 am to 11 pm, and on Sundays, it would be open from 7 a.m. to 9 pm.

The Blink representative doesn’t expect any major issues to prevent the permit from being issued.
